WMF hoop with lizard what is this item?

Hello Team,
Kindly ask you what is this item?
Is this some ornament for bottle of wine?

I know is made by WMF, probably in 1909-1930 (following asca feature).
A kind of hoop with lizard motif.
Silver plated and oxydiert.

Dimensions:
Outside - 10cm x 7,5cm
Inside - 6cm x 6cm

That was my first thought, but I think is too big to be a napkin ring.

The two-letter inscription "OX" (oxidised) indicates an artificial darkening of the surface.

I'm not an expert either.
You say it's too big for a napkin ring.

Just an idea:
It probably can't be a bangle either.... its shape doesn't really look very comfortable to wear it...

Perhaps it's an ornament / just a part of a larger object.

Can you give us more details about its origin?
Where did you get the object? Where are you located?
Such details are often very helpful to find out more.

I have bought this at bazar like fleamarket in Poland. There is a lot of artefacts from Germany. WMF objects are very common here to find, as many others.
I have tried to find out any information in the internet also using google lens, but no results.
That is why I am asking on German forum.
You are more familiar with your stuff
